Community standards
The room we're trying to hold.
LivedThrough is a place where people talk honestly about hard things. That only works if everyone — seekers and providers — shows up with care. These standards apply to every session, message, profile, and review.

What we expect from everyone
- Honesty about lived experience. Don't claim a story you didn't live.
- Confidentiality. What's shared in session stays in session.
- Consent. Don't push, don't guilt, don't keep going when someone asks to stop.
- Scope. Peer support, not medical, legal, or financial advice. Surface professionals when it matters.
What we won't host
- Harassment, hate speech, slurs, or targeted abuse of any group.
- Sexual content with minors, ever. We report and remove on sight.
- Sexual solicitation, including offering or requesting sex/romance through sessions.
- Selling unrelated services, MLM recruitment, or off-platform redirection.
- Encouraging self-harm, dangerous "treatment" protocols, or stopping prescribed medication without a clinician.
- Doxxing, sharing someone else's identifying information, or recording sessions without consent.
How moderation works
Every report goes to a human moderator within 24 hours. We can warn, temporarily suspend, permanently remove, or escalate to legal/safety partners depending on what happened. Providers can also be unlisted while we review.
We share moderation outcomes with the reporter (was it acted on or not) but not private details about the other person. If you were the subject of a report, you hear from us directly.
Appeals
If your account is restricted, you can appeal by emailing appeals@livedthrough.app within 30 days. A second moderator (not the one who acted) reviews.
If something happens in a session
End the session, then file a report. If you're in immediate danger, use the lines on the safety page first.
