These terms govern your use of LivedThrough. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. This page is maintained by LivedThrough; it isn't a substitute for legal advice.

1. Peer support, not therapy
LivedThrough is a marketplace for 1:1 peer support between adults with shared lived experience. It is not licensed therapy, counseling, medical, legal, financial, or crisis-intervention service. Nothing said on the platform is professional advice. In an emergency, use the crisis resources page.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older. You must provide accurate information. You may not use LivedThrough on behalf of another person without their consent, and you may not impersonate anyone.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to follow our community standards. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate them, with or without notice depending on severity.
4. Sessions and payment
Booking a session creates a contract between the seeker and the provider, with LivedThrough as the platform and payment facilitator. Providers set their own rates; LivedThrough takes a 15% platform fee. Payouts go through Stripe Connect. Refunds are governed by the pricing page.
5. Content and confidentiality
You own what you write. By posting it on LivedThrough you grant us a limited license to display it to the intended recipient (your peer in a session, the public for a provider story) and to moderate it for safety. Session messages are confidential between you, your peer, and a moderator if a report is filed.
6. Disclaimers
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee specific outcomes, the qualifications of any peer beyond what we vet for, or continuous uptime. Peer support is not a substitute for professional care.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LivedThrough is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Account → Danger zone. We can terminate or suspend access for serious or repeated violations of these terms or our community standards.
9. Changes
If we make a material change to these terms, we'll notify active accounts by email and inside the app before they take effect.
